What is the relationship between Lord Shiva or Lord Vishnu ?
Relationship between Shiva and Vishnu….. Very typical question but here is my beautiful answer to it :—
- Bhakta and Bhagwaan
Both of Lords are Bhakta and Bhagwaan of each others. Puranas and Itihaasas describe that Hari and Hara are the Bhakta and Bhagwaan of each other. They take different avatars to glorify each other only. Shri Vishnu in his avatars like Shri Parshuram, Shri Rama and Shri Krishna Avatar. Lord Shiva in his Hanuman avatar worshipped Shri Rama Bhagwaan. That's why I do tell that Lord Shiva is the Lord of Lord Vishnu and Lord Vishnu is the Lord of Lord Shiva. They are Aradhya and Ishta of each other.
2. As Best friends till infinity.
They are the best friends of each other. They love each other a lot. They are so much fond of each other that one the same day and same time they started met each other at one place between Vaikuntha and Kailasha as they started to go at each other's place at the same time. They played with each other in the pond.
3. Shiva as the brother in law of Shri Vishnu.
Maa Parvati is the sister of Lord Vishnu. In her every incarnation, Lord Vishnu has performed all the activities of a brother and have done Kanyadaan of maa Parvati twice. One is in Maa Meenakshi Roop.
4. Saviours of each other and world.
Whenever Lord Vishnu is in danger, Lord Shiva helps him and whenever Lord Shiva is in danger, Lord Vishnu helps him and whenever the world is in danger, they both become the saviours of world. You know Mohini avatar when Lord Vishnu became a beautiful woman to kill Bhasmasura to save Lord Shiva.
When Bramha gave vardaan (boon) to maheshi to take the revenge of the death of Mahishaasur (her brother). Lord Vishnu again took Mohini avatar and with his shakti and Lord Shiva's shakti gave birth to Lord Ayyappa.
In all ways they both are same and equal to each other. Shiva is Vishnu and Vishnu is Shiva. Nothing more. ☺
