Shri Sanatanam: Bhakthvatsala Govinda

In this post I’ll share about the sevas/utsavas of Sri Venkateswara swamy which are connected with his devotees. I hope this post is special!!!

Suprabhatha seva (devotees Prathivaadi Bhayankar Annan and Sannidhi Golla):-

In Suprabhatha Seva, archakas will sing Suprabhatham (which was firstly sung by Prathivaadi Bhayankar Annan ji). Once, he, with his Guruji visited Tirumala. His Guruji told him to sing Suprabhatham for the Lord. Then, he started singing Suprabhatham. It was not written before. Just the words came as a flow due to the blessings of Sri Venkateswara swamy. First, Annan ji requested Lord to wake up, which is 1st part of Suprabhatham. Next, he praised the Lord, which the sthothram. Then, he did Saranagati (which is Sri Venkateswara Prapathi) and finally Mangalasasanam (If I can, I'll make a post on Suprabhatham too).

During this seva only, descendents of Sri Annamacharya will sing the sankirthan of Annamacharya requesting Lord to wake up. After Suprabhatham, descendants of the Golla will have the first darsan of Lord daily. And after that priests offer him butter and some others.

Thomala seva (TirumalaNambi):

After Suprabhatham, as a part of Thomala seva, abhishekam will be done to Sri Bhoga Srinivasa murthy. We all know that the great devotee, Tirumala nambi used to bring Abhisheka jalam for Sri Venkateswara swamy daily. So, even today, Abhisheka jalam will be brought by the descendants of Tirumala Nambi from Papavinasana Thirtham. And also water for Abhishekam if mulamurthy on Friday will also be brought by his descendant only. Some priests too go with them.

Ashtadala Paadapadmaradhana Seva:

For Ashtadala Paadaoadmaradhana 108 golden flowers are used to worship Lord with Ashtotharasatha sathanamalu(108 names). For that seva, 108 golden flowers used are given by a Muslim devotee. This clearly proves that Lord doesn't have any differences.

Srivari Kalyanotsavam:

In this utsavam, Sri Annamacharya descendants do Kanyadaanam for Lord!!! How lucky!!!!!!!!🥰🥰🥰🥰😊 And the Mangalyam is offered to the temple by a Muslim devotee!!!!!!

Parveta Utsavam:

This is yearly Utsavam. As a part of Parveta utsavam, Lord will offer clothes, etc, to the descendants of Annamacharya and Golla.

Ananthalvar:

As we all know that Lord went to help Ananthalvar in the form of a child, Ananthalwar rejects. But, Lord helps secretly. Knowing this, Ananthalwar throws crowbar on Lord who is in the form of a child by which Lord gets hurt on his chin. Then, knowing that the child is Sri Venkateswara swamy himself, Ananthalvar keeps Pachakarporam on Lord's chin to cool down the pain. Remembering that, everyday Lord will be kept Pachakarpooram on chin.

And also we know another story of him in which Lord with Goddess Alamelmanga goes to the garden of ananthalwar. After that, thinking Goddess as a normal woman Ananthalwar ties her to a tree and went in search of Lord(who is in the human form) who already escaped. So, because of this even today, every year the very next day of Brahmotsavams Lord goes to the garden of Ananthalwar and after some worships he returns to the temple.

Also we can see the crowbar used by Ananthalvar at the entrance of Sri Venkateswara swamy temple.

Sri Hanuman:

Yearly once (I believe) Sri SitaRamachandra will visit Bedi Anjaneya swamy temple which is opposite to Srivari temple. And some offerings will be done.

Hathi Raam Bavaji:

We know him very well. He played with Srimannarayan himself. Near Vendi vakili, we can see the carved picture of Hathiraam Bavaji playing with Lord.

Ekantha Seva:

As a part of Ekantha seva, descendants of Sri Annamacharya will sing lullaby for Lord and after that descendants of Matrusree tarigonda Vengamamba will give him Mutyala Harathi.

Devotees of Sri SitaRam:

Murthis of great devotees of Sri Ramachandra like Sugreeva and some others are also there in the temple of Lord.

Jayanthi utsavas of Devotees of Sri Venkatapathi:

Annamacharya jayanthi(birthday) and vardhanthi will be celebrated for three days every year in Tirumala, Tirupati and Thallapaka. As a part of celebrations, Sri Malayappa swamy with Sridevi and Bhudevi will be brought to Narayanavanam and sankeerthana Gaanam will be done for sometime and as a part of it only, the present abbot of Ahobila Matam and descendants of Annamacharya will be offered clothes by TTD.

Maatrusree Tarigonda Vegamamba jayanthi and vardhanthi utsavas will also be done at Tirumala, Tirupati and Tarigonda. As she did Annadanam every year, her photo is kept in the kitchen of Annadana Bhavanam, her idol is in the building of Annaprasadam and it is named with her name only!!!
