What's your view about Maa Kaali ?

Yes for sure !!!!!!!!!

I belong to a family where Maa Kaali is significantly worshiped. She is our gram devi as well as most worshiped devi in my maternal family. They are Raghuvanshis and Maa Kaali is their kuldevi. Maa Kaali was also highly worshiped by Shri Rama Bhagwaan as she is his kuldevi.

Maa Kaali’s swaroop is some what fearsome but that roop signifies her as supreme reality. I think this because her roop in digambara (sky clad) and Lord Shiva’s real swaroop is also digambara. Vedas and Upanishads signifies that the supreme brahman is digambara. And Maa Kaali shows Lord Shiva’s SadaShiva (MahaKaala) Roopam in her heart. So as full Maa Kaali is supreme as Lord Shiva.

Maa Kaali is also called as Dakshina as in Kaalika Purana in the introduction of Maa Kaali, its signifies this name. Its says that Maa Kaali is called Dakshina because she is clever in giving boons. Another reason given is that Lord Surya’s son Lord Yama who lives in South is scared from Maa Kaali so he is not able to take the worshipers of Maa Kaali to Hell. That’s why again she is called as Dakshina Kaalika Devi.

In Shaivism, its believed that Maa Kaali comes through Maa Durga’s forehead (lalaat) so she is considered as Maa Durga’s swaroop or a manifestation of Maa Durga ( remember its not incarnation, Maa Durga has just changed her form). The story is given in Markandeya Purana in shaptashati khanda. Here it's a controversy that there it's written that she is Chamunda Devi but at some places it's told that Chamunda Devi is Maa kaali’s swaroop and at some places it's told that she is Mahakaali herself. However on the same time they also believe that the Kaali maa came from Maa Durga’s forehead is basically Maa Durga’s swaroop and Maa Aadya Kaali is also a real swaroop of Maa Durga.
