Glories to Lord Shriman Lakshmi Narayana - Part 4

What's the story of Goloka ? How was it created ?

Note :- My answer will be only and only based on Shri Shiva Mahapurana and if you have doubt then please check it out !!!!!!!

Yesss !!!!!! Shiva Purana mentions Goloka as the highest among all the dhaams of Vaikuntha.

Actually its story comes from the chapter Separation of Sati and Shiva. The story of Goloka is narrated by Lord Ram to Maa Sati.

Lord Shiva called Lord Vishwakarma to his highest region. He asked Lord Vishwakarma to decorate that place in such a way that even the different lokas would become less beautiful than it. He asked Lord Vishwakarma to place a throne and made it a great place where he made a cowshed*. He made the whole place as the most divine Loka like Kailasha Loka and Vaikuntha Loka.

Note :- Cowshed= a term here means a very large land type something where cows are there not an ordinary small cowshed, this term is used here only to make people understand about the place.

Then Lord Shiva himself invited all the Siddhas, Maharishis, Devtas, Devis, Gandharvas, Yakshas, Apsaras, Nagas, Vedas, Agamas, etc. Then Lord Shiva himself went to Vaikuntha and invited Lord Vishnu and Maa Lakshmi there. Lord Shiva was excited so much that he himself was doing all the works and was enjoying the devotion and more over him, Lord Vishnu was enjoying and experiencing the Bhakti of his Aardhya. The whole time was so much divine that cannot be told in words. It can be only experienced. Lord Shiva asked Maharishis to bring the waters from all the holiest rivers in 5 pots and to make the paste of Sandalwood (chandan).

Lord Shiva then asked all the Maharishis and Siddhas to recite the Vedic hymns as loud as much they can. Lord Shiva was in perfect devotion towards Lord Vishnu and even the great devotees doubted on themselves that are they really Lord Vishnu's devotee because the devotion Lord Shiva showed towards Lord Vishnu was even cannot matched as usual. Lord Shiva himself is goal of auspiciousness and purity and hence his pure and auspicious devotion cannot be matched and can never be.

Then singing Lord Vishnu's glories, Lord Shiva arrived with Lord Vishnu in the divine cosmic Hall where he crowned Lord Vishnu and started to sing his glories. This is said in Shiva Mahapurana something like this “ Then the bull (Nandi) bannered supreme Lord sang the glories of the Garuda bannered Lord and asked Lord Bramha and all the other devas to bow down to Lord Vishnu and himself bowed to him”. Here Lord Shiva himself told that like me and shakti are glorified in Vedas, Lord you too will be glorified in Vedas as like us. You will be undefeatable in any types of battle even with me. Oh Lord of Universe, you are too its creator, preserver and destroyer like me. The one who will criticize you and will compare you less than me, he/she will never be allowed for salvation hence you will be giving salvation to all my devotees. Lord Vishnu listening to such words of Lord Shiva, he became too much delighted that cannot be told even. He too told him that salvation to my devotees will be given by you and each and every devotee of mine should worship you first because you are my Lord. Lord Shiva then said to Lord Vishnu that you are my left hand and even my left part like Bramha is mine right. You will always protect Universe by taking incarnation.

Lord Vishnu himself told that this Loka where his aaradhya Lord Shiva have sang his glories will be always above even my Vaikuntha and will be most dearest to me. Telling this, Lord Vishnu transformed himself into a very divine and attractive cowherd form i.e. Sri Krishna and Maa Lakshmi transformed herself into cowherdess form i.e. Radha and all the devas and devis became Cows and Calfs there. The Loka was named as Goloka !!!!!!

Hence according to Shiva Mahapurana, Sri Krishna is none another than Lord Vishnu and Maa Radha is none another than Maa Lakshmi and true Shaivas believe it only as in our Guru-shisya lineage we have different incarnations of Lord Vishnu and Lord Krishna is too an incarnation of Lord Vishnu i.e. Lord Vishnu himself instead of a separate God from Vishnu.

Hope it helps !!!!!!!
