Glories to Lord Shriman Lakshmi Narayana - Part 5

Are Lord Vishnu and Maa Lakshmi same, one and inseparable from each other ?

I ask you whats the difference ? I am answering the question on Adwaitic basis. There is no verse (in my knowledge) which tells MahaLakshmi as different from Vishnu. Instead Maa MahaLakshmi is the shakti of Bhagwaan Vishnu. Narayana is nothing without Maa MahaLakshmi. If you consider Bhagwaan Vishnu to be supreme then Maa MahaLakshmi is the reason for his supremacy !!!!!!! I am 110% sure for it. In Tantrik texts, Maa Lakshmi acquired supreme importance. She was Maha-Lakshmi, the supreme goddess.

Lakshmi is often differentiated from Maha-Lakshmi. While the former is the consort of Vishnu and the goddess of wealth, Maha-Lakshmi is viewed as an autonomous entity, the supreme embodiment of the mother-goddess.However I will prove myself on the basis of some scriptures of Sanatana Dharma (Hinduism). So here I begin :-

  1. The inconceivable energy of the Godhead can be conceived as twofold - with a female form and with a male form. The two should not be regarded as separate entities, O Lord of Birds. (Garuda Purana)

2. If the Lord did not have a female aspect, O Lord of birds, how could women be considered as His reflections. (Garuda Purana)

3. Hence the female is inseparable from the male form. These two forms constitute the very nature of the Lord. This should not be taken otherwise there is no neutrality in the Lord. (Garuda Purana)

4. The neutral form is alien to His nature. It is not present in Hari, O Lord of Birds. Know that women are the reflected form of Hari (Garuda Purana)

5. Lakshmi is eternal, the universal Mother, and is ever in union with Vishnu. Just as Vishnu pervades all things, she also does, they are inseparable. (Vishnu Purana)

6. Goddess Lakshmi is forever united with the Almighty Vishnu. When Shri Hari Vishnu beacomes Rama, Sri becomes Sita, when Hari becomes Krishna, she is Rukmini. In all the avatars of Sri Hari Narayan, Sri (Lakshmi) is inseparable from Narayana. (Vishnu Purana)

7. विष्णुपत्नीं क्षमां देवीं माधवीं माधवप्रियाम् ।
विष्णोः प्रियसखीं देवीं नमाम्यच्युतवल्लभाम् ॥३३॥
Vissnnu-Patniim Kssamaam Deviim Maadhaviim Maadhava-Priyaam |
Vissnnoh Priya-Sakhiim Deviim Namaamy-Acyuta-Vallabhaam ||33||

Oh Devi, You are the Consort of Sri Vishnu and the embodiment of Forbearance; You are One with Madhava (in essence) and extremely Dear to Him. I Salute You Oh Devi Who is the Dear Companion of Sri Vishnu and extremely Beloved of Achyuta (another name of Sri Vishnu). (Shri Suktam, Rig Veda)

8. If he observes an excellent man and an excellent woman, he should worship (in them) the divine couple, thinking of me (Lakshmi) and without relinquishing thought of their separably coupled existence.Wherever I exist , merits too exist, wherever I exist Krishna (Vishnu) too exists. The fact that I, the Mother of the three Worlds, am the basis of womanhood, makes my power manifest in women. Thus a woman is the mother of the three worlds, a goddess full of abundance. (Lakshmi Tantra)

9. Sita could not give way for the sovereignty of the Ravana’s land as Sita is not different from me, like as sunlight is not different from the sun. (Valmiki Ramayaṇa)

Shakti cannot have an independent existence of the object from which it originates. We must first accept the existence of an object that possesses full spiritual consciousness, otherwise accepting Shakti by itself is like dreaming of a flower in the sky.
The commentary on Vedänta states,“Sakti-Saktimaan abhedau –There is no difference between the potency and the possessor of potency.”

Just as Shiva Shakti are inseparable, Lakshmi Narayana are also inseparable and same.

Sri is always in the heart of Narayana and rules there. How can Narayana be different from his heart ? Lakshmi and Narayana are inseparable and always the same. If Vishnu is Brahman, Sri is the reason he is Brahman !!!!!!!!

There are many other proofs which say that MahaLakshmi Maa and Vishnu Bhagwaan are not different and are one and the same. Due to lack of time, I cant write a long answer…….Sorry !!!!!!

I think this may help you all !!!!!!!!!!

Dhanyawaadam !!!!!!

महालक्ष्मी च विद्महे विष्णुपत्नी च धीमहि ,
तन्नो लक्ष्मीः प्रचोदयात् !!!!!!

MahaLakshmi Cha Vidmahe Vishnu-Patni Cha Dhiimahi,
Tanno Lakshmi Pracodayaat !!!!!!

May we Know the Divine Essence of MahaLakshmi by Meditating on Her, who is the Consort of Sri Hari Vishnu,
Let That Divine Essence of Lakshmi Awaken our Spiritual Consciousness !!!!!!

Jay Lakshmi Narayana !!!!!!!!!!!
